This listing is for handmade Blue Ridge Hematite watercolor paint in a variety of sizes. This warm, reddish purple is opaque and covers well but is always beautiful in washes where its iron pigments separate and sparkle. It has a natural shimmer. It is one of my absolute favorite natural mineral pigments because of its sparkle and variations in color.
A small magnet can be added to the pan, at no cost, to allow it to stick to any metal tin, if the artist prefers. Please be sure to select that option. Alternately, metal pans and caps and stick to magnetic strips put down in non-magnetic boxes or containers.

Each color is made from pure, artist-grade pigments and our own all natural binder formula, which includes gum arabic, local honey, and a time-honored, clove oil preservative. Each pigment is mulled by hand until it is the proper, luscious consistency. Each pan is poured once, slowly cured, then topped off so that the pans are as full as possible. Your order is packaged mindfully, using eco-friendly packaging and shipped to you from our studio in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

Shipped super fast, and the paint is just amazing! Everything I have gotten from Ruby Mountain is as good as watercolor paint can get. Kate is very good to answer questions, as well. This is a great Etsy shop and I highly recommend!!!
