This listing is for a half pan, full pan or bottle cap of Renewal, a handmade watercolor paint made from wildfire ashes from the East Troublesome and Cameron Peak fires. This carbon black color has been mixed with Vincenza Earth, a cream color mineral pigment and mica to create this smoke colored paint with a slight granular texture. Please see more about this special color in my blog post available here: https://www.rubymountainpaintco.com/post/988923484628/renewal-and-rebirth-making-paint-from
The entire purchase price of this color is being donated to the Restoring Colorado State's Forest Fund. This fund provides tree seedlings for planting on privately owned and state-managed lands throughout Colorado that have been most severely impacted by wildfire or other disasters. Areas that are most critical to water protection and wildlife habitat, and that provide the most public benefit, will be targeted for planting efforts. In the aftermath of destructive wildfires, reforestation of burned land helps protect water supplies, restores wildlife habitat and reduces flooding and erosion.
A small magnet can be added to the pan or cap, at no cost, to allow it to stick to any metal tin, if the artist prefers. Please be sure to select that option. Bottle caps are equivalent in amount of paint to a generous full pan.
Ruby Mountain Paint Company specializes in micro-batch, artisanal watercolors using pigments sourced from around the world. Our paints are always non-toxic, lovingly hand poured into whole pans, half pans, or bottle caps. We make high quality paint and art supplies for all types of artists. Each color is made from pure, artist-grade pigments and our own all natural binder formula, which includes gum arabic, local honey, and a time-honored, clove oil preservative. Each pigment is mulled by hand until it is the proper, luscious consistency. Each pan is poured once, slowly cured, then topped off so that the pans are as full as possible. Your order is packaged mindfully, using eco-friendly packaging and shipped to you from our studio int he foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
